  Supporting the well being of future generations Chiropractic care makes it’s most powerful impact on children. From the birth process onward, our spine and nervous system is subjected to a multitude of forces which can misalign (subluxate) vertebra and set the stage for reduced well being and future health problems. A recent study has shown that 95% of babies are born with not only misalignments in their spine but also some degree of cervical strain. The study further went on to observe that infants respond well to specific cranial and spinal care with immediate muscle relaxation and a greater ability to sleep. She is awaiting certification from the ICPA after completion of 2 research modules and a written exam which is currently being completed. She is the second doctor in the greater Nashville area to achieve this rigorous certification making her expertise significant. She is also certified in Webster's technique, a technique specifically crafted for the needs of pregnant women. It focuses on the proper alignment of the pelvis which optimizes the room for the developing fetus and promotes an easier birth. Dr. Mike is actively working toward certification as well.   Chiropractic care and pregnancy are like two peas in a pod. It is beneficial for not only the mother but also the developing baby. Dr. Ericka is currently Webster’s Technique certified. She is the ONLY Websters technique certified chiropractic in the local community of Spring Hill. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment which reduces nerve system stress. It detects and corrects sacral subluxation/ misalignment along with sacro iliac joint dysfunction. In doing this it’s purpose is to improve pelvis neurobiomechanical function. Proper function of the pelvis helps to not only reduce the common complaint of low back pain during pregnancy but studies also show that women under chiropractic care during their pregnancy have reduced labor times and labor pains by up to 60%! Regular specific chiropractic adjustments have also been shown to be beneficial in aiding the correct positioning of the baby, reducing preeclampsia, aiding in breastfeeding, and lowering the incidence of postpartum depression.
